Dr. Andrew Lee

Dr. Andrew Lee is double Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and has added qualifications in surgery of the hand.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1988 and earned his Doctorate of Medicine at Howard University in Washington D.C. in 1992. He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Howard University Hospital in 1997 and also received further training at George Washington University affiliated hospitals, followed by a fellowship in hand srugery at the Hand Center of Houston and microvascular training at Baylor College of Medicine.

In practice since 1992, Dr. Lee is board certified in orthopedic surgery with additional qualification in surgery of the hand. He has extensive experience in both hand and general orthopedic surgery, with special expertise in arthroscopy. Patients say he takes time to carefully explain procedures and answer questions, and they report good outcomes with fast recovery times.

Dr. Lee is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He is a reviewer for the Journal of Hand and Microvascular Surgery and has authored many hand- and orthopedic-related publications. He is considered a pioneer in the area of endoscopic decompression for peripheral nerves.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Lee is a musician and has devoted much of his time over the years to medical missionary work abroad.
